Important:

The official Ngurah Rai Immigration Visa on Arrival list names the United Kingdom. British passport holders can investigate the B1 route, subject to the live official eligibility check and all other entry conditions. The published list is not a visa approval and does not replace checking the portal immediately before applying.

Can this passport use Visa on Arrival?

The official Ngurah Rai Immigration list names United Kingdom among the nationalities subject to Visa on Arrival. For eligible travellers, Indonesia’s B1 visitor route has an initial permitted stay of up to 30 days and may be extended once, up to 60 days total, subject to current rules.

British passport holders should verify their exact passport and travel document in the official e-Visa system. Requirements can change, and only the immigration officer decides admission.

Documents to prepare for the B1 route

  • British passport with at least six months of validity, according to the official B1 information.
  • A recent colour passport-style photograph.
  • A return or onward ticket, where required.
  • Any other documents requested by the online portal for your case.

Confirm that your exact passport type is accepted by the official e-Visa system. If you hold a British Overseas Territories, emergency or other non-standard travel document, check the specific rules with Immigration.

Apply online or check another route

  1. Open the official Indonesia e-Visa portal and confirm current B1 eligibility.
  2. Review the allowed purpose and stay dates before submitting.
  3. If you plan to stay longer than the B1 route allows, compare the C1 Tourist Visa and any other suitable route.
  4. Keep a copy of the approved visa and its conditions.

Check your passport in the official e-Visa portal ↗

What if your trip is longer?

For a longer visit on a British passport, compare the C1 Tourist Visa and check its sponsor, document, fee and extension conditions. An extension is not automatic.
