The official C1 description covers tourism and family visits, along with certain other visit activities. It is not permission to take local paid work or sell services in Indonesia.
Stay period and extensions
The official immigration guidance describes C1 as a single-entry visit visa with an initial permitted stay of up to 60 days. It states that extensions may be available several times, up to a total stay of 180 days, subject to the sponsor and the current rules.
The government page currently lists an immigration fee of IDR 1,000,000. This is not an all-in agency price. The visa’s validity to enter is separate from the length of stay after arrival; read the issued visa carefully.
Documents and sponsorship
- Passport valid for at least six months.
- Recent colour passport-style photo.
- Sponsor’s application letter and statement.
- Proof of living expenses: the Jakarta Pusat Immigration C1 page lists a bank statement for the last three months showing at least USD 2,000 (or equivalent) under the applicant or sponsor’s name.

How to apply
- Confirm that C1 matches your activities and length of stay.
- Arrange the required Indonesian sponsor, where applicable.
- Check the latest document and payment requirements in the official e-Visa portal.
- Review the approved visa and follow its permitted stay and extension process.
When C1 may not fit
If you need repeated entries, consider comparing the appropriate multiple-entry visitor route. If your purpose is business, do not assume that all work-like or commercial activities are covered by a tourist visa; compare C2 and other activity-specific categories.
