How Indonesia visa extensions work
There is no single extension process for every traveller. The route depends on the visa or stay permit already issued, whether it was electronic, the sponsor requirements and the Immigration office or online channel responsible for the case.
The date that matters is the permitted stay recorded by Immigration. Start the review early enough to identify the category and correct any missing documents before that date.
Check eligibility before you pay
An extension is not created simply because another visitor visa can be extended. We first check the current permit, entry record, expiry date and available official process.
Submitting a review does not pause the permitted-stay deadline. If the expiry date is close, tell the team immediately.

Current visa
Provide the full visa or stay-permit document so the category, validity and conditions can be checked.
Entry evidence
Upload the latest entry stamp or electronic arrival record showing when the current stay began.
Passport
The biodata page must be readable and the passport must meet the remaining validity requirements.
Sponsor and local details
Some categories require sponsor action, a local address or additional supporting documents.

B1 and e-VOA extensions
The official B1 guidance describes one possible extension, up to a maximum total stay of 60 days. The process may differ between an electronic e-VOA and a visa obtained through an arrival channel, so the original document must be checked first.
C1 and other visitor permit extensions
C1 and other visitor categories have their own maximum stay, sponsor and extension conditions. Do not assume the B1 process applies. The sponsor or authorised channel may need to take part in the application.
When should you start?
Start well before the permitted-stay date shown by Immigration. Time may be needed to confirm the route, correct document images, arrange sponsor action or follow an appointment requirement.
Weekends, Indonesian public holidays and additional Immigration checks can affect timing. A review request does not guarantee that a late case can be extended in time.
What happens after submission?
Keep copies of the submitted documents, receipts and appointment instructions. Continue checking messages from the team and attend any required Immigration step. When the process is complete, verify the new permitted-stay date on the updated document.
Important limits and overstays
Extension assistance does not protect a traveller who remains beyond the permitted stay. Overstays can lead to fines and more serious immigration consequences. If the deadline is close or has already passed, contact the team immediately and follow official instructions.
Common reasons an extension needs correction
- The visa category is not visible
- The latest entry stamp is missing
- Passport scans are blurred or cropped
- The permitted stay is close to expiry
- Sponsor information is incomplete
- The visa is not eligible for the assumed process

Questions about visa extensions
Can every Indonesia visa be extended?
No. Eligibility depends on the exact visa, current rules and the conditions on the issued permit.
How many times can a B1 e-VOA be extended?
The official B1 guidance describes one extension, subject to the issued visa and current rules.
When should I start the extension?
Start well before the permitted-stay date. Do not wait until the final days to identify the process or correct documents.
Can I request an extension after the visa expires?
An expired or overstayed case requires urgent, case-specific guidance. Contact the team and follow official Immigration instructions.
Do I need my passport?
A clear passport biodata page is required for review. The live process may require additional passport handling or an Immigration step.
Do I need a sponsor?
Some visitor categories require sponsor involvement while others follow a different process. We confirm this from the current visa.
Can I travel while an extension is being processed?
Travel can affect an in-country extension. Tell the team about any departure plans before the process starts.
How much does a visa extension cost?
B1 e-VOA extension starts at IDR 950,000 regular or IDR 1,300,000 priority. C1 and C2 extensions are IDR 1,850,000 regular or IDR 2,050,000 priority.
When do I pay?

Does assistance guarantee approval?
No. Visa Bali Service can review and assist, but Indonesian Immigration makes the final decision.
