Bali visa if you live in China

Your place of residence in China does not replace the travel document you will use for Indonesia. Check the passport, trip purpose and length of stay before choosing a route.

The short answer

Your travel passport determines the Indonesian route; living in China does not change it.

Chinese ordinary passport holders are eligible for B1 e-VOA. Other passports may qualify for different routes, so check the passport you will present before booking or applying.

Which visa does your passport need?

This guide shows CNY starting references and selected passport examples. The route follows the passport used to travel, not place of birth or residence. Prices are fixed in CNY on this page and do not change with the header currency selector; the written quote confirms the current route and exact total.

Passport examples are illustrative route comparisons, not a ranking of foreign passport holders in this country. China’s 2020 census communiqué reports a total foreign-resident population but does not give a usable nationality breakdown. We therefore do not turn that total into a ranked passport list. Other rows below are route examples, not a claim about how many such passport holders live in China. Actual eligibility follows the passport you will travel on. Check the published passport lists.

Starting references are approximate conversions from the published VBS tiers: 1 USD = 6.680538 CNY (checked 29 October 2026). The B1/C1 reference includes the listed visa fee and assistance tier; third-party payment charges, extensions and Bali’s tourist levy may be separate. We confirm the current scope, currency and payable total in writing before you pay.

Does living in China change your Bali visa?

A visa, work permit or residence card issued by China does not give you the Indonesian visa access of a Chinese passport holder. Indonesia checks the passport you present for the application and at entry.

If you hold more than one passport, tell us which one you will use. Keep that passport consistent for the application, airline check-in and entry to Indonesia.

Returning to China

PRC citizens should travel with valid PRC travel documents. Foreign residents of China should check that their passport, Chinese visa or residence permit, and any re-entry conditions remain valid for their planned return; ask China’s National Immigration Administration if your status is unclear.

Before you travel from China to Bali

Use the same passport and matching name details for the Indonesia visa application, airline check-in and entry. Check the official e-Visa portal for the current application steps and any required supporting documents.

Check Indonesia’s official e-Visa portal for current passport validity, onward-ticket and document requirements. Immigration makes the final entry decision.

Bali visa prices from China

Published starting references are CN¥270 for B1 and CN¥670 for C1 in CNY. Visa-free passports do not pay an Indonesian visa fee for the eligible short visit. Your final total depends on the route, current government charge and supporting work; we send it in writing before payment.

The local-currency figures are fixed to this residence guide, not the header display setting. Exchange rates and official fees can change, so treat them as starting estimates.

Bali visa questions from China residents

Passport eligibility, local return documents, CNY starting references and our review process.

Why are passport examples shown instead of a complete list?

China’s published census communiqué does not provide a suitable nationality breakdown for foreign residents. The examples explain route differences; they are not a ranking of passport holders living in China.

Do Chinese passport holders need a visa for Bali?

People travelling on an ordinary PRC passport are on Indonesia’s published B1 Visa on Arrival list. B1 allows up to 30 days initially and may be extended once, subject to current rules.

Does living in China change the Indonesian visa route?

No. Eligibility follows the travel passport and trip details. Residents who use another passport should check the route for that document, not their Chinese residence address.

How much does a Bali visa cost in Chinese yuan?

The page shows approximate CNY starting references based on a dated USD exchange rate and VBS starting tiers. Payment-provider charges and Bali’s tourist levy are separate; your written quote confirms the amount before payment.

What is the All Indonesia arrival declaration?

Indonesia requires eligible arriving passengers to complete the official arrival declaration. Check the current All Indonesia portal and instructions before travel, since procedures can change.

Do I pay when I submit my request?

No. We review your route and documents first. If we can proceed, we email a written quote and a secure payment link.
