Bali visa if you live in South Korea

Your South Korean residence status is separate from your Indonesian visa eligibility. The passport used for the trip determines which Indonesia route may apply.

The short answer

Your travel passport determines the Indonesian route; living in South Korea does not change it.

South Korean ordinary passport holders are eligible for B1 e-VOA. Other passports may qualify for different routes, so check the passport you will present before booking or applying.

Which visa does your passport need?

This guide shows KRW starting references and selected passport examples. The route follows the passport used to travel, not place of birth or residence. Prices are fixed in KRW on this page and do not change with the header currency selector; the written quote confirms the current route and exact total.

Counts describe foreign nationals staying in Korea at year-end 2025; they are not travel-demand counts. South Korea’s 2025 Ministry of Justice statistics count foreign nationals staying in Korea by nationality. They are resident-population figures, not Bali travel demand or proof of which passport someone will use. We use a dated sample and keep the travel-passport distinction clear. Actual eligibility follows the passport you will travel on. Check the published passport lists.

Starting references are approximate conversions from the published VBS tiers: 1 USD = 1,340.24082 KRW (checked 29 October 2026). The B1/C1 reference includes the listed visa fee and assistance tier; third-party payment charges, extensions and Bali’s tourist levy may be separate. We confirm the current scope, currency and payable total in writing before you pay.

Does living in South Korea change your Bali visa?

A visa, work permit or residence card issued by South Korea does not give you the Indonesian visa access of a South Korean passport holder. Indonesia checks the passport you present for the application and at entry.

If you hold more than one passport, tell us which one you will use. Keep that passport consistent for the application, airline check-in and entry to Indonesia.

Returning to South Korea

South Korean citizens should use a valid South Korean passport for international travel. Foreign residents should confirm current Korean re-entry requirements for their exact stay status with Korea Immigration or HiKorea before leaving.

Before you travel from South Korea to Bali

If you hold more than one nationality, check the passport you will use throughout the application and trip. Residents returning to Korea should separately confirm that their residence status and re-entry permission cover the planned absence.

Check Indonesia’s official e-Visa portal for current passport validity, onward-ticket and document requirements. Immigration makes the final entry decision.

Bali visa prices from South Korea

Published starting references are ₩54,000 for B1 and ₩134,000 for C1 in KRW. Visa-free passports do not pay an Indonesian visa fee for the eligible short visit. Your final total depends on the route, current government charge and supporting work; we send it in writing before payment.

The local-currency figures are fixed to this residence guide, not the header display setting. Exchange rates and official fees can change, so treat them as starting estimates.

Bali visa questions from South Korea residents

Passport eligibility, local return documents, KRW starting references and our review process.

Why are foreign nationalities listed on this Korea guide?

The examples come from South Korea’s 2025 foreign-resident statistics. Those counts are not a list of Bali travellers and do not prove which passport each person uses.

Do South Korean passport holders need a visa for Bali?

South Korean ordinary passports are included on Indonesia’s published B1 Visa on Arrival list. B1 allows up to 30 days initially and may be extended once, subject to current rules.

Can residents of Korea use a visa-free route?

Some passports held by residents of Korea, including Vietnamese, Thai and Philippine passports, are on Indonesia’s current visa-free list for eligible visits up to 30 days. That route is not extendable; confirm the current list before travel.

Does Korean residence change the visa route for my passport?

No. Use the passport you will present to Indonesian Immigration. Your Korean residence status may matter for returning to Korea, so check that separately.

How much does Bali visa assistance cost in Korean won?

B1 and C1 starting references are approximate KRW conversions of the published VBS tiers. We confirm the route, live exchange rate, government charge and payable total in writing before payment.

Do I pay when I send a request?

No. We review your route and documents first. If we can proceed, we email a written quote and secure payment link.
